We design the 47/48RE converter components here at Goerend Transmission, and also manufacture them from start to finish using our eight in-house CNC machines. This ensures accurate dimensions that work with your transmission. This also means you are communicating directly to the manufacturer, which is very rare in this industry, and allows us to answer all questions quickly and accurately. We build our billet front covers and clutch pistons from steel forgings, greatly reducing any chance of porosity. Our stators are designed to rotate better when going into coupling mode, as well as assist torque multiplication and are guaranteed to never break. Our patented internal design insures that the torque converter clutch will lock up on the computer and valve body’s signal. Our knowledge, equipment, and patented converter components allow us to build the converter to match your needs, no matter if you use it as a daily driver or a dedicated race truck.

DODGE 17SS

Used for light to heavy towing. This converter stall is equivalent to a stock converter stall.

This converter works well with:
2nd generation Dodge with 60 - 62mm turbos at 0 - 4,000 ft elev.
3rd generation Dodge with 63 - 71mm turbos.
67 - 71mm turbos at 0 - 4,000 ft elev.
63 - 66mm turbos at 0 - 11,000 ft elev.


DODGE 17-250

This converter will be approximately 300 RPM looser than stock. It is a higher stall to help get large turbos spooled. This stall is not recommended for towing.


DODGE 15SS

The most versatile converter. Loose enough to spool most turbos, in most elevations and climates, while maximizing low end grunt and keeping the torque converter tight enough when the turbo lights and horsepower is created. This converter should go in trucks that tow and work hard. Approximately 200 - 400 RPM lower than a stock converter.

This converter works well with:
OE turbos at 0 - 11,000 ft elev.
2nd generation Dodge with OE - 58mm turbos at 0 - 4,000 ft elev.
3rd generation Dodges with OE - 62mm turbos at 0 - 4,000 ft elev.

To receive the full core deposit back, the core returned to Goerend Transmission must be an unmodified core of the same model of the purchased converter. (Year, Type, Etc.) No part of the core may be rusty/damaged in any way, or you may receive partial to no credit towards your core deposit. When a usable core has been received, the core charge will be refunded to your original form of payment. Call for any questions on what cores are accepted.

    I’ve had this converter in my 07 5.9 for 43,000 miles and it has performed perfectly, I’ve sled pulled, drag raced and towed with over 700whp with no issues, couldn’t ask for better converter

    Personally used a 900/400 on my 2nd gen for years. Hands Down best purchase I ever did as a upgrade to my truck. Sense then Ive used everything from 900/400 to a 17-250 and all seem to amaze me on how well they perform. Not once have I had a failure on a Goerend converter by itself. Ive used them from in every horsepower rated truck from stock to nearly 1500hp. All perform flawless

    Holds powers flawlessly! I have around 30k on a in house goerend Trans with triple disc TC and has always been up to the challenge. Nothing comes close to Goerend built parts! Little over 400rwhp, turning 35" tires and has never missed a beat!
